Validation

Substantial qualitative and quantitative evidence supports the validity of NIH Toolbox® measures.

NIH Toolbox encompasses a broad set of measures across Cognition, Motor, Sensation, and Emotion. Validity evidence has been gathered in ways that are appropriate for the type and mode of measurement. Content validity, construct validity, and clinical validity are described in Publications and at the NIH Toolbox website under Validation & Norming.
