Does anyone here know about any other health measures for sleep apnea?
If you go to the HealthMeasures Search and View measures page (www.healthmeasures.net/search-view-measures) and search under the domain "Sleep", you will find instruments that measures sleep disturbance, sleep-related impairment, and sleep impact. While none of these directly measure sleep apnea, the domains and associated items may measure some concepts you are interested in.
I'm just 35 and not overweight. I can't believe it, but I just got diagnosed with borderline severe sleep apnea requiring a CPAP machine(www.cpapoutlet.ca/en/Machines).
I didn't think apnea could happen to those with otherwise no risk factors, but I'm sure the results are real - I rarely sleep more than 4 hrs/night before waking up.
Does anyone here has used a CPAP device? It would be great if you share your thoughts! I'm looking forward to seeing how the machine works out. Does anyone here know about any other health measures for sleep apnea?
